The Gaming in Holland 2019 conference, which took place in Amsterdam on 5-6 June 2019, hosted, among others, the chairman of the Gambling Authority who shed more light on the latest online gambling (regulatory) developments and included panels featuring our partner Justin Franssen and gaming lawyer Alan Littler.
René Jansen, chairman of the Gambling Authority, kicked off the conference with a speech in which he addressed topics such as the interpretation of the Postema motion (cooling-off period) and the criteria regarding the licence application procedure. The speech of René Jansen was followed by a brief update presented by Dennis van Breemen, Head of Integrity and Gambling Policy at the Ministry of Justice and Security. He provided insight on when to expect the final version of the remote games of chance decree and the draft ministerial regulation to the remote gambling bill.
