Posted on 21 February 2024 by Joris Crone

Chambers has published the Gaming Law 2023 Practice Guide. This edition offers practical guidance from leading law firms on gambling legislation across numerous jurisdictions. Gaming Law 2023 covers the latest legal information on land-based and online gambling; B2C and B2B licences; application requirements; affiliates; white labels; responsible gambling; AML legislation; restrictions on advertising; acquisitions and changes of control; trends in social gaming, esports, fantasy sports, blockchain; and taxation.

Kalff Katz & Franssen is proud to have contributed to Gaming Law 2023 for the chapter on the Netherlands. Dr Alan Littler, Justin Franssen and Joris Crone cover the abovementioned topics for the Netherlands in the 24th chapter of this edition. Amongst other things, we discuss the recent changes on advertising with the introduction of the ban on untargeted advertising, the upcoming changes with regards to gambling limits and addiction prevention, and the upcoming evaluation of the Remote Gambling Act in 2024. Gambling Law 2023 also covers the various important definitions of types of gambling and the licensing and regulatory framework in the Netherlands.
