The practice group Gaming & gambling of Kalff Katz & Franssen strengthens its position with three new attorneys. Chris Adriaansz, Joris Crone and Jos van Doormaal have been part of Kalff Katz & Franssen’s gaming team for a while and will continue this successful period as junior associates.
Chris holds a master’s degree (cum laude) in Public and Administrative Law from the Utrecht University. His thesis on the use of algorithms by administrative bodies has been awarded with two thesis prizes. Joris obtained his master’s degree in European Law at Utrecht University and already focused on the gaming sector during his studies. He graduated with his master’s thesis on harmonisation of law and online gambling. Jos holds a master’s degree in European Law and a master’s degree in International Business Law from Tilburg University. In addition, he has written a PhD in EU competition law at the University of Bremen.
Chris, Joris and Jos will deal with a variety of issues related to the gaming and gambling sector. Amongst other things, this will vary from regulatory, compliance and enforcement issues to assisting clients with applications for a remote gambling licence.
