Alan Littler contributes to The Gambling Law Review (5th edition)

Posted on 16 June 2020 by Alan Littler Chris Adriaansz

Recently the 5th edition of The Gambling Law Review was published. Once again Alan Littler wrote the chapter on the Netherlands, this year with the assistance of Chris Adriaansz. The Gambling Law Review is designed for practitioners across the world who want to find a way to quickly digest and understand the framework of gambling legislation in key jurisdictions.

As well as an overview of remote gambling, land-based gambling, taxes and advertising there is also something instructive in the chapter on the Netherlands. This chapter includes:  a review of new legislation and case law, and a section dedicated to the key events of the past 12 months and things to look out for in the year ahead. While we slowly progress towards 1 January 2021 (the date that the Remote Gambling Act is anticipated to enter into force), this year’s edition should prove to be extra useful. This new publication provides various valuable insights concerning the ongoing legislative process and the anticipated reforms. Please find a PDF version of the chapter Netherlands here.
